What this actually does
InPage, the desktop publishing software used across Urdu newspapers and printing houses for decades, never adopted Unicode. It stores every character according to its own font's keyboard layout, which means InPage documents can't be searched on Google, copied cleanly into Word, or read on a phone without the exact original font installed.
This tool remaps text between that InPage layout and standard Unicode, so you can move content in either direction: bring old InPage archives onto the web, or prepare freshly typed Unicode text for layout inside InPage.
Common questions
Why doesn't InPage text show up correctly on websites?
Because it isn't Unicode. Browsers and search engines expect Unicode code points for Urdu characters; InPage's encoding predates that standard entirely, so without conversion the text either breaks or shows as garbled boxes.
Is this converter accurate for every document?
It handles everyday text reliably. Documents built with unusual font substitutions or heavy manual kerning inside InPage may need a quick manual review after conversion.
